Start with the asset inventory

Serials, types, quantities and weights underpin reporting. An enterprise may have asset IDs without unit weights, or systems may be split into parts. Distinguish measured values, manufacturer specifications and estimates instead of merging them into one field.

Record reuse and material routing

Assets may enter whole-system reuse, component reuse, materials recovery or another lawful route. ESG summaries can show category counts or weights based on actual records. Do not claim completed circular use while a destination remains unconfirmed.

How are carbon benefits estimated?

Define a comparison scenario, such as reused equipment replacing new production or recycled material replacing virgin inputs. Databases, factors, regions and boundaries change results. Disclose factors, data years, assumptions and exclusions and mark figures as estimates based on available information.
