Repeated host-level overwrites may not reach every physical NAND location. Where supported and appropriate, manufacturer sanitize functions or cryptographic erase may be considered; higher-risk or failed devices may require physical destruction.

Execution status, device identity, exceptions and final disposition should be documented. Method selection remains subject to media capability, data sensitivity and customer policy.
